Photographs

October 31, 2016

Photographs of you like a deck of cards

They go shuffling inside of my heart

and I seal my lips with lipstick stitches worrying about the ways in which you might hurt me

The bones in your neck and I'm a nervous wreck

I trip on the slip of your dress

I can't get no rest

I feel you beside of me

Your lips were the one's who broke loves heart in two.

Now they're turning on you baby blue

I shouldn't talk to you

I said that you are a sin

it's happened again, we are the best of friends

I wear a suit in the sun

The telephone it ain't no fun

When you lie around the house and you don't talk to no one.

Your lips were the ones who broke loves heart in two

But now they're turning on you baby blue

everyone calls for you

but you are not around

the endless parade of your emotions

are outside of my window

trying to bring me down
